8. Notwithstanding section 6, when the diploma that is the subject of a diploma equivalence application was obtained 5 years or more before the application and the knowledge that it demonstrates no longer corresponds, due to the development of the profession, to what is being taught at the time of the request in an education program leading to a diploma that meets the requirements for the permit issued by the Order, the applicant shall be granted training equivalence in accordance with section 9, if he has acquired, since obtaining his diploma, the level of knowledge and abilities required.
